Straight Out of Austen

It is a truth, universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. - Jane Austen I don't know much about Jack's fortune, but I know that he has found himself one amazing, and absolutely beautiful wife! Jack and Amy's big day at Quarry Farm looked as though it had fallen straight out of a Jane Austen novel. It was classic, intimate, and had an old-world charm about it that I haven't seen matched in quite some time.  The only things that didn't fit in to the romance novel, were the ugg boots and flano worn by the bride as she prepped, and the 4WD that delivered Amy to the...

A Rose, a Crown, and a String of Pearls

Teagan and Aaron's wedding was one that I had been looking forward to photographing for some time. I knew it was to be held at the Rose and Crown - a venue I LOVE! I had met Teagan and the maid of honour, Robyn, a few months prior to the big day, and their candid way with each other made me laugh - from that, I knew the wedding was going to be love wrapped in laughter... and it didn't disappoint.  The groom and bridal preparations took place in the venues suites, and both rooms were overflowing with antique wonders, and gorgeous detail in every direction. The setting was perfect for the vintage theme to the boys bow ties, and...

A Little Bit of Love... A Little Bit of Wu-Tang

I knew from the moment I stepped foot in the door at groom prep, that this wedding day was going to SO much fun to photograph. The boys were merrily listening to some A-Pop, cracking the Glenfiddich, and pulling one-liners left, right, and centre. As I made them face their fear of heights on the hotel balcony, the boys enjoyed a scotch whisky in preparation for the events ahead.  The girls were, in true bridal form, cranking out the R&B, whilst getting primped and pampered to perfection. The highlight of bridal prep for me, was the most heartfelt reveal I have ever seen! Amy's brother, and mum were completely speechless when they saw her for the first time - and...

Matilda-ing

Amongst the rain, hail, and gust, and with a not-so-shiny forecast, Leigh and Paul managed to light up the sky with their love, with the sun shining and the day glowing, making for an absolutely beautiful wedding day.  The shores of Matilda Bay did not disappoint, with gorgeous boats, the Perth city skyline, and the Swan River acting as a back drop to Leigh and Paul's ceremony. With it's intimate, yet intricate feel, the ceremony really was a declaration of love between these two - complete with love letters that they plan to open with a bottle of bubbly on their first anniversary.  I stole the bridal party for a few sneaky shots, and managed to catch the newlyweds stealing...

Je t'aime

Maple and Rose House saw these two lovebirds tie the knot, with an intimate ceremony, attended by close family and friends. The lace detail on Sarah's gown was to die for - and Jack didn't scrub up too bad either! The ceremony was simple, but beautiful, and before long, these newlyweds were on their way to Hyde Park for some celebratory champagne, and photographs with their nearest and dearest.  I had the pleasure of sneaking off with the couple, to take a wander around the gorgeous gardens, and was able to capture some melting moments between these lovebirds. It has been a while since I have done a sweetheart session, with only the bride and groom present, and it was...
